WOMEN’S MINISTRY UNION

Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) is dedicated to teach about and support local, North American, and International missions through financial gifts, prayer, and participation. WMU seeks to involve Christians of all ages in fulfilling the Great Commission: spreading the Gospel all over the world.  WMU organizations for children, youth, and women teach about missions and conduct mission projects

First Baptist Church has four “Women on Mission” groups. The groups educate members about missions, perform community missions projects, and contribute financially to the North American and the International Mission Boards.  Yearly projects include sponsoring a family financially and spiritually, delivering backpacks filled with food goodies to local area elementary schools for weekend use, hosting a giveaway of school supplies and clothing in August of every other year, and contributing financially to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
